For years everyone has recognized the high quality of life that Villa Valentina spa offers to you. In the restaurant, thanks to the Villa Valentina farm, you can enjoy dishes prepared with 100% home-grown  products. First are the DOP oil from the Trasimeno hills and the white, red and rosé wine from their own cellar in Petreto.
Both olive groves and vineyards are located on the land owned by the farm at 480 meters above sea level. The walks in the path of health inserted in an uncontaminated environment (olive groves, vineyards and orchards) also give the possibility together with the thermal pools to rediscover the perfect shape and harmony.

Among the typical local products of the Villa Valentina, the following are home-grown: wheat, sunflower, barley, potatoes and garden produce.
In recent years, with the Cantina di Petreto which takes its name from the farmhouse, the company has dedicated itself to the production of oil, wine and balsamic vinegar.

The extra virgin olive oil produced is of superior fruity quality, obtained from leccino, muraiolo and frantoio olives harvested only by hand in the month of October and with mechanical Sinolea method procedures.

The balsamic vinegar, year of production 2000, is produced solely from cooked must and wine vinegar, aged in oak, chestnut, ash and cherry barrels; a small part matures exclusively in juniper barrels for a limited production of excellence.

From the vineyards where Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet, Colorino, Sagrantino, Grechetto and Chardonnay are grown, the Cantina di Petreto obtains excellent wines of limited production. Bianco della Serra – Grechetto, Petreto Bianco – Chardonnay, Petreto Rosso – Merlot, Sangiovese, Colorino and Cabernet, Nobile della Serra – Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet, Dipinto – Merlot and Sangiovese. First production year 2014, available from May 2016.

Handmade bread cooked in a wood oven as tradition dictates, and more: Egg pasta, sweets and pastries, seasonal vegetables, holy wine, some butchery products, meats, cheeses and jams. These products from the short supply chain, which the Villa Valentina restaurant offers, can only be enjoyed in the restaurant of our Country Resort. Today Villa Valentina also offers the possibility of purchasing some of the products of its own farm to the guests of Villa Valentina, sure that this will prolong the sensations of well-being experienced in this splendid reality, even after returning home.

DIPINTO

The new wine of the Cantina di Petreto

Gaia Rosso, the new wine from the Cantina di Petreto, was born from two births: Gaia, who arrived in the Savignani family in May 2013 and the birth, in the same period, of the first new vine shoots.

But given the similarity of the name with the wines of Gaja di Barbaresco we thought of dressing it with another label “DIPINTO”.

For this wine, a part of the vineyard planted with Merlot and Sangiovese has been reserved where, in May, the vines are carefully selected and, in July, the best and only bunch of each vines is chosen.

The package that contains “DIPINTO” is obtained from the staves of barrels from the early 1900s and finely inlaid by hand, covered in very fine satin and the woods covered with natural wax, all worked by master wood craftsmen.

“DIPINTO” is a unique and prestigious wine rich in tradition, produced only with the best bunch of each vine from Merlot and Sangiovese grapes
